has hired a new partner for its corporate team in Hong Kong.
Christopher Swift, previously a partner in the Hong Kong office of
Allen & Overy
, specializes in mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring and corporate finance transactions.
In 2010, Swift was part of an Allen & Overy team that advised Japanese beverage company Kirin Holdings Co. on the sale of two of its agribusiness subsidiaries to Dutch private equity fund H2 Equity Partners B.V.
Swift, who is a member of the takeovers panel of the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission, is admitted to practice in both the U.K. and Hong Kong. He has practice in Asia for 15 years, mostly in Hong Kong though with stints in Allen & Overy’s Shanghai and Tokyo offices.
He joined Allen & Overy in 2001 from the Hong Kong office of
, where he was also a partner.
Including Swift, Jones Day has 39 lawyers, including 15 partners, in its Hong Kong office.
