The number of jobs in the legal services sector remained essentially flat last month, with just 200 positions added, according to preliminary data released Friday by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

June marked the second consecutive month during which the legal industry saw only modest growth. As The Am Law Daily previously reported, the legal services sector added 600 positions, according to preliminary government data. The BLS reported a total of 1.12 million legal sector jobs as of the end of June—the highest the industry has seen in three years—as a result of small, steady increases in the last three months.
