Allens has hired a new partner for its oil and gas practice in Perth. Tracey Greenaway will join the firm in October from the Australian arm of oil conglomerate Shell International Petroleum Co. Ltd., where she was Perth-based senior legal counsel.
Greenaway started her in-house practice in Shell’s offices in London and The Hague offices. She moved to Perth in 2008 when she was seconded to an Australian liquefied natural gas product marketing company North West Shelf Australia LNG Pty. Ltd. as principal legal counsel for three years. While practicing in-house, she focused on advising on the development and commercialization of liquefied natural gas projects.
Greenaway began her legal career in 1996 as an associate at Linklaters, and was based in the firm’s London office for more than seven years. As part of the firm’s global projects team, she advised on the financing and restructuring of international energy and infrastructure projects.
With the addition of Greenaway, Allens will have 15 partners in its Perth office, six of whom work on energy-related transactions.
