DLA Piper has added a corporate partner in Beijing.

James Chang was most recently an associate with Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom in the Chinese capital. Chang advises on cross-border transactions related to China. Last year, he worked on Skadden’s representation of Chinese buyout firm XIO Group on a $1.1 billion acquisition of American marketing information firm J.D. Power and Associates from McGraw-Hill Education. He also acted on a $4.4 billion privatization of previously Hong Kong-listed Wanda Commercial Properties.
