Davis Polk & Wardwell will promote Hong Kong counsel Karen Chan to partner on July 1, making it the first partner promotion in the office since 2011.
Chan advises financial institutions and companies on litigation and regulatory matters related to local regulators such as the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission. She joined the firm in 2013 from Clifford Chance as part of a litigation and enforcement team led by partner Martin Rogers, then Asia head of disputes for the Magic Circle firm. Rogers, alongside partner James Wadham, left to launch a disputes team for Davis Polk.
