Offshore firm Harneys has opened a representative office in Tokyo.
The British Virgin Islands-based firm hired former Sumitomo Mitsui Trust (UK) Ltd. director of marketing and sales Yuji Asano to lead the office. Harneys is looking to leverage Asano’s 15 years of funds experience with Sumitomo Mitsui to generate new business from Japanese clients.
