Goodwin Procter has added two partners to its Hong Kong office.

Christopher Yu was previously an associate at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton. He advises on private equity investments, mergers and acquisitions, and Hong Kong capital markets transactions. He joined Cleary in 2011 from the Hong Kong office of Latham & Watkins. Earlier in his career, he worked at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in Hong Kong and London.

Andrew Yang is joining Goodwin Procter from Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy, where he was an associate. Yang advises on cross-border M&A as well as U.S. and Hong Kong capital markets transactions. Yang joined Milbank’s Hong Kong office in 2006 from Linklaters.

With the additions, Goodwin Procter’s Hong Kong office counts 12 lawyers, including five partners. Globally, the Boston-based firm has 769 lawyers in eight offices.
