Loeb & Loeb has hired a partner in Hong Kong.
Jae Chul Lee joins the firm from DLA Piper, where he was a Hong Kong–based partner advising on Korea-related transactions.
Lee will practice as part of Loeb & Loeb’s Hong Kong affiliate, Pang & Co., working on its capital markets team. Such affiliation agreements are required by the Hong Kong Law Society as precursors to full mergers between international and local law firms.
He typically advises Korean companies on a variety of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings and project financings. Lee first joined DLA Piper in 2004 from the Hong Kong office of Simmons & Simmons, becoming a partner the following year.
Loeb & Loeb has 20 lawyers, including five partners, in Hong Kong. Globally, the firm employs over 300 lawyers in seven offices, the largest of which are in New York and Los Angeles.
