Former Allens Singapore managing partner Marae Ciantar has joined Rajah & Tann as head of its energy and resources practice.
Ciantar advises companies, banks and governments on project development, joint ventures and corporate transactions in the energy and resource spaces.
He first joined the Melbourne office of the former Allens Arthur Robinson in 2000 and then relocated three years later to the firm’s now-closed Phnom Penh office, where he became a partner in 2008. He moved to the Australian firm’s Singapore office in 2010.
Singapore-based Rajah & Tann also has offices in Vietnam, Laos and Myanmar, as well as alliances in Malaysia, Indonesia and Cambodia. The firm has about 500 lawyers in total.
