Hogan Lovells has added a Hong Kong partner.

Mark Parsons, previously head of the Asia technology practice for Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, is expected to start at Hogan Lovells at the end of the month.

In addition to the tech practice, Parsons also led the Asia intellectual property and information technology practice for Freshfields. He regularly advises on outsourcing deals, licensing and distribution agreements, and a variety of other technology-related matters.

Parsons came to Hong Kong with Freshfields as an associate in 2008, having previously spent four years in the firm’s London office. He became a partner in 2012. Prior to joining Freshfields, Parsons worked as an associate at Slaughter and May in London.

Hogan Lovell’s Hong Kong office will have about 55 lawyers, including 19 partners, when Parsons arrives. The firm has 2,300 lawyers in 45 offices worldwide.
