Greenberg Traurig has promoted shareholder Victoria Davis Lockard to vice chair of its pharmaceutical, medical device and health-care litigation practice, which is chaired by another Atlanta shareholder, Lori Cohen. The firm also recruited a shareholder, Clarence Davis, to the group. Davis joined Greenberg's Atlanta office from the Columbia, S.C., office of Nelson, Mullins, Riley & Scarborough.
Geoffrey Gavin has joined Jones Day as a partner in the intellectual property practice from Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton. Gavin is a patent litigator and patent portfolio adviser who's handled patent matters in such areas as wireless telecommunications, software, athletic footware, floor covering and paper products. Gavin serves pro bono as a guardian ad litem, representing the interests of children in child custody cases.
